The life you built
no longer fits.
You are not broken. You are being asked to become someone you have not been yet.
Burnout, a midlife reckoning, a career that stopped meaning anything, the low steady sense that you are living someone else's answer to your own question. That is the work. It is not about fixing what is wrong with you. It is about remembering what was never lost.
Is this you
You may recognize some of this
Most people who reach out cannot name what is wrong. They only know that something is.
- You are exhausted in a way that sleep does not touch.
- You are successful on paper and hollow in practice.
- You feel stuck, and you cannot tell whether it is the job, the marriage, or you.
- Something ended, and the next thing has not arrived.
- You are carrying a lot, and there is nowhere to set it down.
- You have outgrown a life you worked hard to build.
- You are asking, at fifty, what you thought you had settled at thirty.
- You keep meeting the same pattern in different rooms.
If two or three of those landed, we should talk.
Who you would be working with
I have made this crossing myself
I am Dr. Mark A. Arcuri. I spent thirty years in psychology before I understood that I was doing the thing I kept helping other people stop doing: building a life that looked right from outside and did not fit from within.
In my fifties I left the country I had lived in my whole life and moved to Querétaro, México. That crossing was geographic and it was something else as well. I did not arrive on the far side of it wise and finished. I arrived disoriented, and the disorientation turned out to be the curriculum.
So when I sit with someone in the middle of their own passage, I am not observing it from a clinical distance. I know the specific loneliness of the stretch where one life has ended and the next has not begun. What I bring is thirty years of training and the fact that I have walked this.
That is also why this practice stays small. I work with a limited number of one-to-one clients at a time, because this work does not scale and I would rather it stay good than get bigger.

What changes
Clarity · Alignment · Momentum
Clarity
You stop circling the same question. You can name what is actually happening, and decide from there instead of from fear.
Alignment
Your days start matching what you actually value. Choices get easier because they stop being arguments with yourself.
Momentum
Small practices, repeated, become a different life. Not a dramatic reinvention. Something steadier than that.
Coaching is offered worldwide by secure video, from Querétaro. The pace of life here shapes how I work: unhurried, attentive, and oriented to what matters rather than what is urgent.
How it works
Three steps, starting with a conversation
A free twenty-minute call
No agenda and no pressure. We talk about where you are and what you are hoping for. If I am not the right person, I will say so and point you toward someone who is.
The first session
We map what is actually going on, name the outcome you want, and choose two or three practices you can begin using that week.
Steady work
Sessions by secure video at a pace that suits your life, with brief support between them when it helps. Gentle accountability, never pressure.
The experience
What you receive
- One-to-one sessions with me, not an associate.

- Kind accountability without pressure.
- Brief support between sessions when it helps.
- A pace that respects your nervous system.
- Optional HeartMath and mind-body practice support.
- Thirty years of training, applied to your particular life.
The methods vary by person: mind-body practices, HeartMath, tapping, narrative work, values clarification. We use what serves you and leave the rest.

Common questions
Questions people ask
How is coaching different from therapy?
Coaching focuses on growth, clarity, and aligned action. It is not diagnosis or treatment. If clinical care would serve you better, I will say so and help you find the right provider. Some people do both, and they work well together.
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes. I keep the practice small on purpose, so availability varies. The free call is the fastest way to find out where things stand.
What if I am not sure this is right for me?
That uncertainty is a perfectly good place to start. Most people who reach out cannot name what is wrong yet. The call costs nothing and will tell us both what we need to know.
Does this apply to work and career, or only personal life?
Both, and usually both at once. Career transitions, vocational clarity, burnout recovery, and the question of how to build something meaningful without losing yourself are central to this work. My background includes decades of vocational and career-focused psychology.
Where do sessions happen?
By secure video, worldwide, at times that respect your schedule. I am based in Querétaro, México, and work across time zones.
What are your credentials?
A PhD in Clinical Psychology, a postdoctoral fellowship in Consult Liaison Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at UT Southwestern, advanced training in Integrative Health and Lifestyle at the Andrew Weil Center, and certification as a Health and Wellness Coach through KGR. Training for board certification is complete, and I am an NBC-HWC candidate with the board exam scheduled for November 2026.
Do you offer psychological services?
Psychological assessment is available through Division of Vocational Rehabilitation referral to clients located in New Mexico, delivered by secure video under New Mexico licensure. Everything else on this site is coaching. For details, see the disclaimer.
What should I bring to the first session?
Yourself and whatever you are sitting with. Nothing to prepare. We will make the first step simple and doable.
If you feel the nudge, follow it.
You have read this far for a reason. Twenty minutes will tell you whether this is the thing. I would be glad to meet you.
