Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer tele-assessment?
Yes. Many interview and rating-scale portions can be completed remotely using secure tools. Some standardized tests allow tele-assessment administration. We will discuss what’s appropriate for your referral questions.
How long does the assessment take?
Most assessments include an intake (60–90 minutes), 3–6 hours of testing across one or two sessions, and a separate results meeting. Timelines can vary with referral questions and prior records availability.
Will I receive a written report?
Absolutely. You’ll get a clear, concise report with practical recommendations you can use at school, work, for referral sources, or with other providers. A results meeting is offered so you can ask questions and plan next steps.
Do you accept insurance?
We do not bill third-party payers; full payment is due at the time of service. This approach allows us to offer flexible, individualized care while protecting your privacy. If your insurance includes out-of-network testing benefits, we can provide documentation for you to submit. We recommend checking with your insurance provider in advance to learn whether reimbursement is available and at what amount.
Do you assess children?
Services focus on teens (16+) and adults. If you’re seeking testing for a younger child, we recommend reviewing options at psychologytoday.com or nmpsychology.org.
Can you coordinate with my providers or school?
With your written permission, we can provide your results to your therapist, physician, or school/work to support accommodations and care planning. We do not actively participate beyond providing the relevant assessment results.
Is this a good fit if I’m referred by New Mexico DVR?
Yes. DVR referral assessments are prioritized. Reports address functional capacities and include training or workplace recommendations relevant to your DVR plan. Referral and authorization must be made by your local DVR staff.
What if I’m unsure which assessment I need?
Start with a free 15-minute consult. We’ll clarify your questions and suggest the best assessment approach for your consideration, based on your goals.
